1. Who we are

SawaWiz operates SawaWiz and acts as the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide why and how your personal data is processed. Contact us at info@sawawiz.com.

2. What we collect and why

  • Account data (name, email, login credentials, language preference): to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Content data (posts, drafts, schedules, AI prompts and generated text, connected network handles): to provide the publishing, scheduling, and AI features. Legal basis: contract.
  • Usage and device data (pages visited, feature usage, device identifiers, IP address, log data): to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • Support data (messages you send us): to answer your questions. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
  • Marketing data (email if you opt in): to send product updates. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Who we share data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors: hosting, database, analytics, AI model providers, and support tooling.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Social networks you choose to connect, in order to publish the content you schedule.
  • Professional advisers such as legal and accounting firms.
  • Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 90 days after closure so you can recover it. Billing and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. After that data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Under UK and EU GDPR you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Email info@sawawiz.com and we will respond within one month.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row level access controls on our database so users can only read their own records, and least privilege access for staff.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your language and reading direction. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block storage in your browser settings, though sign in will stop working.
